it's that time again..

Get ready, the 2014 DC Design House is just around the corner!

For those readers who are new, the DC Design House is the region's biggest annual residential design attraction.  And it's a fundraiser for the Childrens National Medical Center.  This year, the house is stone and has three levels (thank goodness, since last year's house clocked in five flights!) and about 7,929 square feet of living space.  That means 24 lucky DC designers will have the chance to showcase their talent.

The 2014 Design House was donated by Suzi Wilczynski, granddaughter of Marshall B. Coyne, the founder of the Madison Hotel.  Built in 1929, the home has six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a three-car garage and a swimming pool on two-thirds of an acre. Original elements in the home include crown moldings, wood flooring and custom cabinets in the living room and dining room.

Get excited!  Dates for the showhouse are:

April 13th - May 11th 2014,
4600 Linnean Way, NW Washington, DC 20008
