eclectic and bright

Sometimes a lot of color is good.

The Nebraska home of Jessica McKay, of Birdhouse Interiors, and Christopher Van Buskirk, is the perfect example.  Together, these style-setters run the blog COOP.

Red stair risers?  Yes, please.  Gallery picture walls?  Of course.  Interesting tie-dye-esque drapes and upholstery?  Absolutely!  Sputnik chandelier?  Fantastic!

It's not often that one comes across such a lively, inspiring and interesting home.

McKay uses space adroitly - especially by turning an awkwardly sized window-dormer area into a dressing room.

It takes guts to combine such a variety of colors and patterns together.  The result is an eclectic and thought-provoking work of art.
