district of chic: iantha carley

Iantha Carley - responsible for designing the Morning Room in this year's DC Design House - has been named the "One to Watch" by the Washington Design Center and one of Home & Design's Top 100 Designers.

Carley uses mature, elegant color schemes and artfully incorporates pattern into each space.  In this year's Design House, Carley's room will use beautiful textured brown fabrics like herringbone and a Phillip Jeffries chartreuse pattern.  And a pop of orange: a chic dog bed!

She claims to have spent hours as a child studying her mother's interior design magazines. Clearly it rubbed off!  Carley's rooms are exquisite.

Don't forget to stop by the Design House when it opens, April 14th:
