The District is very lucky to count Victoria Neale as one of its own.
Recognized as one of the top 125 designers in America by House Beautiful Magazine, Neale's work has been also featured in magazines and books, including Southern Accents, Traditional Home, Home & Design Magazine, and Spectacular Homes of Greater Washington, DC.
Her aesthetic is traditional, but she incorporates strong colors and patterns into her projects. Art is a key component of her spaces - and will be again in the room Neale is designing for the 2013 DC Design House.
This year, Neale will design the family room. It promises to be an elegant and comfortable room, which will create the perfect transition between the Design House Kitchen, stairwell and Study.
One of Neale's strongest beliefs is that “the house will tell you what it wants. Paying attention to the architecture and listening to the client guides the design – from furniture layout to style to color.”
Neale was the only designer to talk with ICDC about the bones of her space during the "Bear Bones" tour last month - remarking about the structure and layout, and how her design will highlight the best aspects of the space.
Stop by the house April 14th to May 12th!
