keswick hall

Keswick Hall was a beautiful place to spend Christmas with family.  Feeling more like a friend's large home than a hotel (with only 48 guest rooms), ICDC will definitely return to the "Hall."

Beyond the beautiful decor, the staff was supremely friendly (not always the case in upscale hotels) and the food and wine superb.

ICDC stopped along the way for lunch at a farmer's market and made friends with a few donkeys.

yes, this donkey is actually sticking his tongue out at ICDC.  what a ham!

Upon arriving at the Hall, ICDC went for a walk of the grounds and found gorgeous flora and fauna on the old estate.

 the hall's grand entry

 kiss, kiss!

tiled floors in the hall's great room are well worn with a glorious patina

 fireplaces roar throughout

 a gingerbread replica!

fantastic antiques kept ICDC's eyes busy..

the hall has its own pottage.  how eco-friendly!
